A Message from Deborah
This is by far the hardest message I have ever had to write to you. After many long hours, days, weeks, months and years, Jean-Pierre and I have decided to retire from our lives in the Cherry Stand. We will be closing our doors Sept. 30, 2018 after more than 80 years of serving the community.
Until then we will continue to fill your orders for selected products.
This was an extremely hard decision for me and my family as my life growing up was mostly around my family’s cherry and apricot orchards. By no means is this an end of an era for our family, as we intend to continue getting our feet wet with the wholesale side of the business. This would not have been made possible without all of your support, patronage and unconditional loyalty and friendship.
Plus I couldn’t have taken the business this far without my hard-working and devoted employees. It has been an absolute pleasure serving you.
I would like to look at this as not the ending, but the next chapter in “My Life is a Bowl of Cherries Book.” Our hearts will still be connected by the love of cherries as we want to pursue the wholesale /airport activity. I have already contacted local stores who are interested in carrying your favorite Olson products ie. think cherry pies, dried apricots and chocolate-covered apricots. I will let you know when that begins.
I look forward to seeing all of you in my next adventure. I’m hoping you all get a chance to stop by for a hug.
Sending my cherriest regards,
P. S. I will keep you informed via our newsletter for any and all updates.
